Pierre's Story...
Bonjour! I'm Pierre! I'm thinkin' about taking out a singles ad...how about this for a catchy title: "Endearing, Easygoing Old Guy Needs Love, Too." I have a lot of good attributes to list -- have all my hair, love a good nap, enjoy human, canine and feline companions, have a hearty appetite, enjoy keepin' my nose to the ground to take in life's great smells and like to take scenic drives, even though I only have a little bit of eyesight left. I've adapted well to my hearing loss, so the TV volume will never be blasted and there won't be any "Eh? What did you say?" Though I'm not as spry as in my younger days due to a bit of arthritis, I still tool around with enthusiasm. Better grab this special catch while he's still available!
I am 13 years old, 19lbs, neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines and my adoption fee is $150.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pierre, a Portland Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Portland, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
