My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

COURTESY POST - GUS IS LOCATED IN KLAMATH FALLS, OREGON
Gus is 1 1/2 years old, 110 lbs, brindle in color with white feet and a white chest. He is neutered, current on shots, not on heartworm preventative. We were told that he is a Bullmastiff and American Staffordshire Terrier mix- he looks a little AmStaff-ish, but is much much taller. He has had a lot of obedience training. He does really well with people and cats. He loves kids, but due to his size smaller kids might get bumped or knocked over on accident, although for the most part he is really gentle with them. He DOES NOT get along with other dogs, which is the reason we need to find him another home. We have done a lot of training with him on this, both in private and group lessons. He is getting better about ignoring other dogs while on a leash while walking. Gus is very smart and figures things out quickly. He is also very tone sensitive with your voice. He absolutely loves the water and going for long walks, he is still young so he's still pretty energetic. Mostly he loves being with his family and the people he loves and would do anything it takes to make you happy. He is very sweet and loves attention! We got Gus from a rescue shelter when he was a puppy (his mom was a Katrina dog that was brought to Oregon to have her babies). We are his first and only home other than the shelter. It is my hope that he finds a permanent home that can continue with his training and give him all the love and attention he deserves. If you are interested in Gus, please fill out the application at www.neomastiffrescue.com. Please contact Rachael at rachael.burch@oit.edu with questions or for more information.
