Rocky: Adopted!'s Story...
**HURRAY! I've been adopted! But please check out all the other great dogs here in rescue, they're all looking for good homes, too!** Hi, I'm Rocky!

I'm a 6 yr old (that's young for a Jack Russell!), smooth coat, neutered male JRT. I was at a shelter for awhile, but when my owners never came to claim me I came into rescue, and now I'm looking for my forever home!

I'm a GREAT dog...I'm housetrained, crate-trained, I get along with kids, cats, other dogs, and I know how to sit, shake, and give kisses!

I'm a happy, smart, friendly guy, and I'll make a perfect companion, so if you think you'd like to adopt me, please fill out an application (see the instructions below) right away! I'm ready for a home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky: Adopted!, a Louisville Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Louisville, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Louisville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Louisville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Louisville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Louisville paves the way for another one to be saved.
