Bowser's Story...
Bowser does not believe 8 years old makes you an old or senior dog, just a more experienced dog! He only came into foster care on 10/27/2012 and is already impressing his foster mom. He has learned to climb stairs, walk very well on a leash, do well in car rides, jump up and snuggle on the couch, and ask for attention. Originally from a breeding facility, his extremely social and trusting nature is a wonderful surprise. He has been completed vetted, although he did lose some teeth during his dental cleaning. Bowser still has spunk, as he enjoys dashing around the backyard (though he doesn't have to have a fenced yard). He has made great strides with house training, gets along well with his canine and feline siblings, and is now looking for his furever home! Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bowser, a Mount Gretna Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Mount Gretna, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Mount Gretna.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mount Gretna already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mount Gretna breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mount Gretna paves the way for another one to be saved.
