We need to re-home one of our cats rescued at around 8 weeks old (now
14 months) from the street in Leesville, Louisiana in the summer of 2011
by my husband who worked out there for a year and a half. The job ended
on August 31 this year and when “Henry” was brought back home to Duluth,
he was moved into the house with seven other cats we’ve rescued over the
years. We are sad to find that Henry is not adjusting to the other cats,
and is not happy after living in a one-cat environment. This is one very
sweet, loving, good-looking guy. He is neutered and up to date on
vaccinations. He is a soft gray, with tabby markings. He loves balls
that make noise, catnip, and anything with a string tied to it. If you
would be interested in giving our boy a comitted, permanent home, please
contact us at 17704482495, or email us at carlanking@gmail.com. We have
a photo for you here. Only serious inquiries please.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

*Henry, a Winder Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Winder, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Winder.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Winder already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Winder breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Winder paves the way for another one to be saved.
