Mary Ann's Story...
Hi there, my name is Miss Mary Ann and I am a recent arrival. I'm a young fawn horsecoat female. I've been recovering from being chained to a tree and losing most of my puppies. Foster mom and dad have been helping be gain weight and get better. I am doing much better now and and they say I am ready for a new furever home.

Mary Ann is a very loving sweet little girl. Petite at 36 lbs. She weighed 31 lbs when she came to us. Her coat is filling in nicely. She will make a great family member for any home.

I am a girlie girl. I really love pink. Mom and dad bought me a beautiful pink collar. I'm so proud to wear it. I need a family to love me and care for me. Could that be you? Please come and get me. Love so much, Mary Ann. More can be read about me on the FSPR website and the adoption form is there also.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mary Ann, a Gainesville Shar Pei dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shar Pei for sale in Gainesville, or seeking a Shar Pei dog from a breeder in Gainesville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gainesville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gainesville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shar Pei breeders who help with Shar Pei rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gainesville paves the way for another one to be saved.
