Meet Mason! He is a 9 month old Chihuahua mixed with what we think may be a splash of Min Pin based on his lean leggy look. He currently weighs 8 lbs and should not be more than 10 lbs once full grown. Mason was rescued out of the South LA animal shelter. He was one of the lucky dogs picked to get their photos taken all dressed up in Halloween themed bandanas. When we saw Mason’s big pleading eyes in his bandana photo it was as if he was begging “please get me outta here…I am scared”. We have included that photo here.

Mason is happy and loving little guy. He is very affectionate with people and loves everyone he meets. He likes to follow you around the house so he can be close but he is also content to keep him self busy playing with his toys or his canine friends. Mason gets along wonderfully with other dogs both big and small. He enjoys being a part of a little dog pack and would make a great canine friend for a family who already has another dog OR he would be equally fine as an only dog for a family who can spend time with him and include him in their activities when possible.

Mason LOVES to play fetch! He runs like a little gazelle and is so proud of himself for retrieving the ball. He loves going for walks and is great on the leash. Mason does well in the car and is learning to like going for rides now that he knows it doesn’t mean he is going back to the shelter. Mason is doing great with his housebreaking and does his business outside as long has he has access. We are very proud of Mason and how he just adapted so quickly to house living after being in the shelter for almost a month. One thing we have to mention is that Mason is a huge CUDDLE BUG!!! At the end of his day he loves to snuggle up to your body and know that he is safe and warm. Mason is not a yappy dog and only barks at appropriate times like the doorbell ringing.

Mason is neutered, microchipped, rabies, dewormed and up to date on his vaccinations. If you would like to meet Mason please contact Theresa at treasuredtailsrescue@hotmail.com or call 951 852-7999. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mason, a Bellflower Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher for sale in Bellflower, or seeking a Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher puppy from a breeder in Bellflower.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellflower already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellflower breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellflower paves the way for another one to be saved.
