Thunder's Story...
Thunder was rescued from an abusive situation. She was pregnant at a time, unfortunately due to the abuse during pregnancy, none of her kittens survived. She is now spayed and vaccinated. Thunder is approx. 5 years old. She is very human oriented, but does not like other cats. She would prefer to be the only cat, or at least have enough space of her own not to be bothered by other cats (they tend to pick on her). She is very loving and quite the purrer. She loves to cuddle and be petted. Her little ‘motor’ turns on the second you touch her.

About Our Rescue Group...
Fostering saves lives. It’s as simple as that. Instead of trying to escape the thoughts and images of abandoned and neglected cats and kittens, I decided to face the reality head on. To be proactive. Yes, you cannot save them all. But you can make a difference – a life and death difference – on many cats’ lives by fostering. There are other avenues you can pursue as well, such as networking and volunteering. But fostering is one of the most challenging (I know I’ve had a few ‘failed’ fosters ) but rewarding experiences in anyone’s life.

I am not a big organization, but one person trying to make a difference. You can make a difference too! Adopt, foster, network or volunteer. Whatever you do, do something. Yours actions (or inaction) matter!

Visit my Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/dfwcatnetwork and spread the word, network, message me if you would like to adopt or foster. If you do not have a Facebook account email kerra31-cats@yahoo.com with your questions or contact information.

Our Adoption Process...
Adoption fee is $85 for cats and $115 for dogs and it includes spay/neuter and vaccinations.

Adoption application and contract are required. Adoption application is sent to everyone that is interested in an animal. We reserve the right to deny the application. If approved a home check is required to ensure both the well being of the animal and to make sure that the potential adopter connects with the animal and is willing to make a commitment.

We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
Fort Worth and surrounding cities, including Keller, Colleyville and North Richland Hills.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Thunder, a Fort Worth Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Fort Worth, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Fort Worth.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Worth already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Worth breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Worth paves the way for another one to be saved.
