Homer's Story...
Meet Homer! Homer is a Golden/Terrier mix who is looking for his furever home.He weighs around 70lbs, is about 8 years young and knows basic commands. He is good with children and cats. He does well walking on a leash, is house trained and current on all vaccinations. He has not been around other dogs very much so he would probably do well in a home where is is the only dog. This wonderful guy would love a yard to run around in and a family who can shower him in love and attention. He is protective of his family and is just a big sweetheart. If you think you can give Homer the furever home he deserves, please fill out a statement of interest form at www.alternativehumanesociety.com (under the ADOPT menu).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Homer, a Bellingham Golden Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
