Lewis's Story...
This cute little guy is Lewis, a 3-5yr, neutered male, chihuahua/terrier/heinz 57 mix. Lewis is a super friendly guy who doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He does well with everything and everyone he meets and is an all around great dog. Lewis is an easy going pup who is house broken, not barky (which is an awesome trait for a small breed dog), and is just so chill. Lewis is the kind of dog that doesn't need to be crated or gated off in another room while his people are away. Lewis would make a great addition to any home looking for a smaller breed dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lewis, a Newport Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Newport, or seeking a Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Newport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newport paves the way for another one to be saved.
