Che Che's Story...
Che-Che, a 6 year old spayed female Shar Pei, is such a beautiful lady. She is friendly to everyone and just wants to find a place to call home. She, and her other Shar Pei buddy, Jude, were surrendered by their owners -- their owners were military and were transferred to a new base that would not allow them to keep their dogs. Jude has now found his home, and now Che Che waits for her new family.
Like most Shar Pei, Che Che can be a little shy at first, but once she knows you, she is a loving, dedicated companion. She likes to go for walks and loves car rides. But mostly she just likes to be around her person.

Are you Che Che's person? If you would like a mellow friend to hang out with, please complete an adoption application at our website, www.peisandstrays.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Che Che, a Newport Shar Pei dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shar Pei for sale in Newport, or seeking a Shar Pei dog from a breeder in Newport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shar Pei breeders who help with Shar Pei rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newport paves the way for another one to be saved.
