I am already spayed and up to date with shots.
Love to go for walks or jogging but want a small dog for company, here's you girl. Peanut is a real mover. I almost didn't get any photos of her because she didn't want to slow down. Take a look at her stride and she would like to go a long way. Peanut is a 22 month old Chihuahua and weighs 8 pounds she is little shy at first, but wants to be loved and cared for once she gets to know you. She loves to play with her toys and will toss them into the air and play fetch all by herself. Peanut is a real mover and would not be good in an apartment unless you can provide her a lot of activity with you. Peanut really does not realize that she is smaller and takes on all bigger dogs, and she means it, therefore I will NOT adopt her to anyone with LARGE dogs. Because of her aggressiveness with bigger dogs, Peanut will have to be kept on a leash at all times when outside. Peanut likes smaller dogs and or dogs her own size and does well in a home with other active small dogs. For more information, please contact foster Mom in Mount Vernon, WA at digsdogs@frontier.com or paulab10@yahoo.com Peanut has been spayed, had a dental, and she has passed her vet exam and has all her shots including rabies. Adoption Application and Home Visit are required. Adoption fee is $250.
We do not do same day adoptions unless you are preapproved. Adoption application with references checked & a home visit are required. We do many special events during the year, so check our calendar on our website: www.chihuahuarescueandreferrals.com

Rescue Group Info...
We are a group of volunteers that take in unwanted, abandoned or homeless Chihuahuas and Chihuahua mixes. We take care of any Vet needs they may have and evaluate them as to temperament and likes and dislikes. We then match people to dogs and after completing our adoption process we send the dogs to their Forever Homes where they will be loved and valued as a family member.
We operate on donations and always have a need for things like leashes, harnesses, dishes, high quality dog food, beds, blankets and most importantly FOSTER HOMES!
***ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE***
We organized in 2005 and CR&R is registered as a non-profit charitable organization in Washington State & has Federal 501(c)(3) STATUS. We have successfully re-homed over 250 dogs!

Please contact each foster home where a dog lives that you are interested in to make an appointment to meet them. We participate in various events throughout the year where we show off our adoptable dogs.
Our adoption fees vary depending on the age and health of the dogs. We require that an adoption application be completed with at least two personal references and one Vet reference. We also do home checks to be sure the dog will go to a safe environment. Our Adoption Contract assures that the dogs will be cared for and if they cannot remain with the new family they MUST be returned to us.
