Sheila's Story...
Would you like to meet beautiful Sheila? Let us know! She's a striking 2 year old dalmatian / german shepherd mix and weighs around 45 lbs. She was found roaming a park as a stray in downtown Indy; she's a polite and attentive girl who learns quickly. She is potty trained and does well indoors. Her favorite toy is her stuffed ducky ... that will obviously have to go with her when she's adopted. Her best friend is the 11 year old boy, her sibling in her current foster home; they play continually in the backyard together. Sheila must have been a racehorse in another life; or maybe we should have called her "Speedy Gonzalez"! When she sees a bird or a butterfly, she takes off in a blur of black & white. Her adoption fee is $150; she's spayed, microchipped and current on vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sheila, a Indianapolis Dalmatian/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dalmatian/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Indianapolis, or seeking a Dalmatian/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Indianapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Indianapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Indianapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dalmatian/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Dalmatian/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Indianapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
