Marvelous Mona's Story...
This is Mona. She’s such a sweet girl! Mona was rescued from the Brooklyn Navy Yard. She was a super’s cat, and when he was fired from his job he left Mona behind. It’s a sad story, as she is such a lovely cat and really wants to live in a home. She lived under the porch of the home she came from for quite a while, and she’d run up to the guy who rescued her when she heard his voice and rub up against him for human contact!

Mona is in very good health generally, spayed and with all her shots. She is FIV negative but FeLV positive. But don’t look away! Mona is currently symptom free, and could live a long and happy life in a stress-free, caring environment. She needs either to be an only cat or to live with other FeLV cats. Please consider giving this lovely girl a home! She’s truly a love bug, and we know you won’t be sorry!

If you’d like to meet Mona, please contact Sara, at sara@wmclark.com.

Thank you so much for thinking of a rescued sweetie!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Marvelous Mona, a Brooklyn Calico cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Calico for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Calico cat from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Calico breeders who help with Calico rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
