Ginger's Story...
Ginger is a beautiful purebred mini aussie! She is 3 years oldwill be 4 in December 2012, weighs 20 pounds and is a great indoor dog and she does enjoy a walks and does great on a leash but would prefer to be with you, near you and loved by you like a true velcro mini aussie. She is a red tri and is the real fluffy hair style of aussie, her hair is soft and she is one that loves to be near you and love on you and you pet and love on her or just lay near you or at your feet. A great companion dog. Ginger is a smaller dogs and does better alone but if with other dogs is better with dogs her size and activity level, no puppies or high activity dogs older children is great and she never cared about cats.

Ginger is house and crate trained and is a very loyal and wants to please, she is a super sweet girl. She would love to be the only dog but is good with other dogs, too.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ginger, a Abilene Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Abilene, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Abilene.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Abilene already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Abilene breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Abilene paves the way for another one to be saved.
