My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Charlotte. 4 yo Purebred Chartreux.
A Chartreux is such a rare cat that we've never even seen one before!
Charlotte came to us when a veterinary office called. Her owners had
purchased her as a kitten, and had grown tired of her after four
years. They had dumped her off at the office with a request to
euthanize her. Thankfully, the vet called us instead of killing this
poor cat.
We believe that Charlotte was neglected and possibly abused during
her life. She was terrified of humans, overweight, and in very poor
shape. Her coat was oily, nails overgrown, and her ears were
infected. Having never seen a Chartreux before, we weren't quite sure
how she was supposed to look. We had a chance to talk to a woman who
was very familiar with this breed and she gave us lots of tips on
health, personality, and how to socialize this very intelligent, yet
gentle cat. Now that she is with a kind foster mother who gives her
lots of TLC she is coming out of her shell, has lost some weight, and
just the other day, she gave Kimber kisses! Charlotte is also getting
used to having other cats in her life. She's not thrilled with them,
but will tolerate them.
