Gabe is located in SF area for right approved home rescuer can meet as far as SAC area or further north

Gabe is a 10-12 month old Shepherd mix we rescued from Fresno. Gabe needs an experienced adopter who can help him with his manners and socialization - he'll repay the effort with cuddles!
Loves to snuggle
Smart guy who completed basic obedience class - knows sit, down, stay, come, heal and is working on shake
Takes treats gently
Does great in the car
Loves water (bath time and playing with the garden hose)
Happy guy
Loves walks/hikes
Doing really well with his crate training and house training
Gabe gets along very well with the resident dogs in his foster home but is overly excited and defensive when meeting new dogs on the streets and barks.

He will also bark at strangers, but he warms right up to people once he is able to meet them. He will need a patient owner to help him learn better manners. His adoption fee has been reduced to $150 to reflect the additional training he will need. He is neutered and current on vaccinations.
