Holly - OH's Story...
Well hello there, my name is Holly and it's great to meet you! Thank you for taking a moment to stop by my little corner of the world to learn about me. I'm a beautiful 9 year old (almost 10) black and tan smooth dachshund that's found my way into rescue with my husband Dapper (#12055). We lost our family due to a human divorce, yet Dapper and I still love each other very much. We've been together for a long time, and would prefer it stayed that way. One divorce is enough for us! I'm a very sweet girl who enjoys nothing more than a good neck scratch and a cuddle in my bed. I'm very low maintenance, and I'm only looking for a place lay my air mattress and be loved. I'm great with other dogs, my husband Dapper isn't the jealous type lucky for me! I do well with older kids, but younger ones do make a little nervous! I'm housebroken and cratetrained (I liked to call it my house, not a crate). My foster family loves me dearly and I've grown quite fond of them as well. Well, I hear Dapper calling so I have to go. I will update again soon. Love, Holly P.S. Our adoption fee is $150.00 each and our foster home is in northeastern Ohio. Please email our foster Mom at UFGatorJenn@aol.com for more information about us.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Holly - OH, a Jacobus Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Jacobus, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Jacobus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacobus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacobus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacobus paves the way for another one to be saved.
