Dixie's Story...
Meet Dixie! She is a sweet Bloodhound that was rescued from Saginaw Animal Control just before her time was up. She was found tied to a tree by a rope with no food and water. Dixie will have permanent hair loss from the rope-burn scar found around her neck. She is actually pretty quiet for being a hound dog! She loves to play with squeaky toys and enjoys being outside. She is 6 years old and looking for a family to love her furever! She is currently in foster care with other dogs, cats and kids and does great with everyone. She will have you whistling Dixie if you give her a second chance!

Adoption Process: Please visit http://heavenlypawsmi.com/adoptions and fill out an Adoption Questionnaire.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dixie, a Rochester Bloodhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bloodhound for sale in Rochester, or seeking a Bloodhound dog from a breeder in Rochester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rochester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rochester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bloodhound breeders who help with Bloodhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rochester paves the way for another one to be saved.
