THIS IS DORIE.....a spunky, 6 yr old, gold and white, 15 lb, Shih Tzu mix (could be pure, but her weight indicates otherwise, since she is NOT fat!). It was clear when she arrived, she had not had an easy life...but she hit the lottery when she arrived at Che Lhasa Happy Homes! Dorie is a love....she is affectionate, even though she is not kissy. She loves to play with her human and is good with other dogs, but more than likely would prefer being your one and only! She does get along fine with the pack though...so a companion would be okay, as long as you don't expect her to interact and play....she'd rather do that with YOU! She will follow you around, and she will love playing with you...and she bonds very quickly. She seems to be potty trained, but no guarantees at your house!! She will let you know when she wants something...she loves to "talk" -- but is not yappy. Dorie just wants someone to love her and spend a lot of time with her....and spoil her to life. She'll give back a million times more than she gets. Does Dorie sound like the girl for you?
Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID tag!

Most every Sunday, unless we are doing a special event, we are at Century City Mall (10250 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles 90067 behind the Concierge Booth near Brooks Bros) from 12-4pm. You can see this, and many more, adorable pups at this weekly event! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!!! And don't forget to check out our
