Max's Story...
Max is a 1 yr old Chihuahua who weighs about 15lbs. Max was saved from a kill shelter by our rescue just before he was set to be euthanized. He has an old leg injury that didn't heal properly, so he doesn't use it well, but that doesn't slow him down...he loves to run, jump & play! He enjoys soft & cuddly toys and does well with both adults & children. Max can't wait to find a family to call his own!

Max's adoption fee includes his neuter surgery, microchip, up-to-date vaccinations, rabies tag, heartworm test & 1st month's flea/tick preventative. If you are interested in meeting Max, please email adopt@sarocks.org, or go to www.sarocks.org to fill out an adoption application & we will get in touch with you as soon as possible.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max, a San Antonio Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in San Antonio, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in San Antonio.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Antonio already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Antonio breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Antonio paves the way for another one to be saved.
