Olive's Story...
Olive and Oscar looking for a home where they can play and cuddle together for the rest of their lives. They were born about mid-August, so are about 12 weeks old now.

Olive and Oscar are very bonded and will be adopted as a pair only.

We never know with kittens what their grown up personalities will be, but at this stage these two are very loving, playful and active. To get them purring, all you have to do is look their direction.

They love meeting new people. When not napping, they are busy playing with each other and with all their toys.

Their litter box habits are excellent, and they will need continued training on where scratching and climbing are allowed in their forever home.

Olive and Oscar have been spayed/neutered, microchipped, are up to date on vaccines, and have tested negative for FeLV and FIV. The adoption fee is $150 for both kittens.

If you are interested in meeting Olive and Oscar please fill out the "I'm interested" form at our website, and our adoption coordinator will respond promptly. Please note that we place cats in the following counties only: Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas and Clark.

Animal Rescue & Care Fund, Inc. is a small rescue organization. We rescue homeless animals only, and do not accept owner-surrendered pets. All our animals live with volunteers in their homes until they are matched with the right permanent family. Thank you for considering one of our pets for adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Olive, a Portland Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Portland, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
