Cookie and her friend, Grover, were recently taken off the street after being abandoned by their human family. The two of them (together with their baby) sat, waiting on the front porch of their house, but their family never returned, having moved away. They couldn’t understand why the new home owners would not let them in. So they were rescued, altered, and are now safe and sound, waiting for a new forever home. Born around May 1, 2011, Cookie is a sweet black and white girl who is very petite for being full grown, but can certainly hold her own with the bigger kitties she has since come to know in her home. Her soulful eyes just make you wonder how anyone could leave such a beauty behind.
Cookie is vaccinated, altered, FeLV/FIV tested negative and microchipped. Save The Animals Rescue Team, (S.T.A.R.T.) is a non-profit humane organization, founded by Annette Lamberti, that rescues stray, abandoned, injured, and abused kittens, puppies, cats, and dogs. The animals rescued are examined by a veterinarian, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and placed in one of our volunteer foster homes. Since S.T.A.R.T. does not have a shelter facility, these animals remain in our foster care until they are adopted. So many of these unfortunate animals are victims of pet overpopulation, therefore, this life-saving work is critical!!
It is our mission to prevent cruelty, promote spay/neuter, and to encourage awareness through education, while also teaching respect for all animals and the environment they live in. S.T.A.R.T. is a 501 (c)(3) private non-profit organization relying on and supported by tax-deductible donations, grants and group fund raising.
