Facts about Shine

  • Breed: Labrador Retriever Mix
  • Color: Black
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Shine is a beautiful 4 year old black Lab mix around 65 pounds. He has a cute shaggy look around his ears and his chin! He is friendly and lovable with his foster family, a bit shy of strangers, but that could be overcame quickly. He is ready for his forever home. Poor Shine and his brother Ebony have been in a foster home their entire lives and are so attached to each other if adopt they need to be together. He has been here 3 years! It is sad but black dogs are often overlooked. Shine loves his brother Ebony, they like to hide from everyone else and just snuggle up and play together. They are very smart guys, they don't potty in their kennel! It would be so great if they can be adopted together, they don't mind being outside, as long as they are together. They get really nervous if one gets taken out of the pen and the other is left behind. Please find it in your hearts to give this great guys a chance at a great new life with your family. He is up date on vaccines and has been neutered. His adoption fee has been lowered in hopes of finding him a forever home!

About Hickman Humane Society

About Our Rescue Group...

Our mission and focus is to benefit the lives of the animals and people in our county by providing for the humane treatment of pets thru foster care, appropriate medical care, rehabilitation of pets, comprehensive adoption coordination, consistent spay/neuter funding programs and public education with a goal of reducing the homeless pet population, irresponsible breeding and the prevention of cruelty and neglect to animals.

Donate to Our Rescue Group...

Since ALL of our funding is from donations (we are not supported by a government agency), fundraising and a few spay/neuter grants, we always need monetary donations and food and supply donations including straw and bedding material. With winter coming we could really use some more dog houses and tarps (used is welcome). Used crates are also always needed. Pick up can be arranged within a reasonable distance. Thank you for your support.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our pets are in foster homes with families to help them transition better into YOUR family. Please email our adoption coordinator at jeibrab@aol.com for more details.
