Brooke's Story...

Brooke is hard to miss! When you see her, you'll be captivated by her looks. She has a beautiful black and white coat and stunning eyes.

She is a sweet, young lady who has spent most of her life in a shelter. Sometimes, she needs reminders to mind her manners when she gets excited. Brooke loves being petted and getting belly rubs. She's a quick learner and already knows how to 'sit' on command, and she's social with other dogs.

One of Brooke's favorite games is fetch. She can chase after balls endlessly, it seems. She also likes playing with rope toys and anything squeaky. She has the exuberance of one who doesn't have a care in the world and runs like the wind when out in the play pens.

Brooke recently went for a sleepover at a volunteer's house and was fascinated with everything and everyone around her. She isn't housebroken yet but that's expected given that she has been in a shelter for most of her short life. She is sure to get into the habit of potty breaks though, once in a home with a consistent schedule.

Brooke is a joy to have around and needs an active, adult-only household. She needs someone with a little patience to continue her training as a well-behaved lady. In return, she would be a truly loyal and loving companion.

All APA adoptions come with free behavior assistance through APA's behavior team. And remember, when you adopt a dog from APA, you are saving not one, but two lives - the life of the dog you're bringing into your home, and the next dog APA can save in the adopted dog's place.
