Sheri & Sierra's Story...
Hi, our names are Sheri and Sierra. We are very fortunate to be alive as we were born in a house where no one cared whether we lived or died. The home owners called animal control to remove us but animal control only took our mom leaving us to fend for ourselves. We had to rely on a nearby neighbor to step in and save us as temps were in the 100′s and poor Sierra had a horrific injury to her front leg which she lost due to the extent of the wound. We are now healthy and ready for our new homes. Sierra is a very happy, outgoing little kitty even though she does not have her front leg. She is always curious about her surroundings. Sheri is very sweet, a bit shy, lets Sierra take the lead in their daily adventures. Please give these babies a wonderful new start in life, they would love to become part of your family.
Please call CARE @ (804) 288-9797 and ask our foster mom Kathy all about us.

Our Adoption Process...
Prior to adoption, every CARE cat/kitten has received a thorough exam from a veterinarian, has tested negative for FIV/Felv (except as otherwise noted), been spayed/neutered, dewormed, given flea preventative, and been inoculated against distemper. Rabies vaccine is given if the feline is over 4 months. Any other desirable medical attention has also been provided. Also, each cat/kitten has spent its rescued time in a private home in foster care being loved and assessed for temperament and personality, needs, likes and dislikes.
