Pineki's Story...
Little Pineki (Hawaiian Peanut) was taken from his Mother when only 3 weeks old and sold on Craig’s List. Even though it is against the law to sell a puppy until they are 8 weeks old a kind person paid for him just to get him out of this situation. Unfortunately now this human found herself in a situation where Pineki cannot stay. He was born in January 2012 so now is still very young. At 4 lbs he will tuck nicely under your arm and under your covers at night. If you would like to meet our little Pineki please come to one of the events shown on our calendar or send in an application/email from the web site

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pineki, a San Diego Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
