Cruiser 6749's Story...
Who could resist this sweet face? Cruiser is a sweet Basset Hound and Beagle mix who was brought to us from Animal Care and Control after he was found walking along the side of the street. He is about three-years-old and weighs 34 pounds. Cruiser is calm and loving and is good with children of all ages. This handsome little guy came to us with a hole in his ear, but it was taken care of by our vet as soon as he got here. He still has a little scar from the stitches, but he isn't at all self-conscious about it (he told us he thinks it gives him character...we agree 100%). Cruiser is micro-chipped, neutered, and up-to-date on all of his vaccinations. His adoption fee is $200.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cruiser 6749, a Columbus Basset Hound/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/Beagle for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Basset Hound/Beagle dog from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/Beagle breeders who help with Basset Hound/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
