Lucy's Story...
” Luuuuucy I’m home” are the words I can’t wait to hear as I patiently wait for you to come home and smother me with kisses. Don’t get me wrong, my foster digs are great. I have a doggie pal and two little boys to play with. My foster mom says I have the sweetest soul (along with everyone else that meets me). Not meaning to brag, but it’s the truth. That must be why I even get along with the resident Kittie. Just so you know, we do have an understanding. I stay out of his way and he returns the favor. It’s also probably because I am a pretty mellow lady. I’m no wall flower, but I don’t think you have to run around all crazy to get attention. I prefer curling up with you, or anyone who might stop by for some loving. I’m no diva, but I do have some wants and needs. Lots of love, OK that was a given. I LOVE bones, kongs and anything else that you would like me to chew on. I have been know to chew on a shoe, but who can blame a lady when you gotta get your chew on. With that said, I am kennel trained and do enjoy having quite time. My foster mom also said I need some leash work. Yeah it’s true, I wouldn’t lie to ya. I do much better if I am walking with another doggie. It’s like I am wearing a pink cape of courage. I guess this is a good time to tell you I have never lived alone, well without another dog by my side. In case you didn’t know, every girl does have a BFF in life. I also wasn’t really taught my basics (I am house broken, geez), so if you could help with those that would truly turn me into the lady I already know I am,. Oh, I am so excited to meet you and show you first hand how awesome I am!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a Portland Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
