Lilly's Story...
Why, hello there. How are you? Lonely and aching for a companion? Oh no!!! It so happens…I’m feeling lonely too…maybe we can help each other out? What do ya think??? I’m an active lady, in need of some more training…but nothing we can’t work on together…I just need an on-the-go lifestyle and a person who will continue working on my socializing and leash manners. I know that with all the love you have stored up in that heart of yours + a little training more I will be tooting my own horn in no time. For starters I am very good looking, plus I am loyal as can be, a real good protector, not to mention totally smart. I even do well with other dogs (except when I'm on leash, I tend to turn into a tough-guy). I am housebroken already, and crate trained- which is really cool cuz it’s the perfect place for me to hang out when you are away at work and running errands. Guess, what? I even know a few basic commands, and would do great in agility or scent work…any fun and positive way to keep my mind and body busy! Jeez, I think I’m feelin' pretty good about myself already…2 years old-53lbs. My adoption fee is $180 and includes; microchip, spay, reduced cost Training Class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lilly, a Portland Pointer/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer/Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Pointer/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Pointer/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
