Malcolm's Story...
Take one look at me and you’re sure to smile! I’m Malcolm, a happy young dude, intelligent, bright, and eager to please. I enjoy play time, going for walks, taking naps in the sun and cuddling on the couch. I’m sweet, sensitive and a little quirky, fun and silly…very unique…kinda like my looks! I love other dogs and have loads of fun playin and wrestling with them, but I do need to find a family with children 10+. Sometimes I get a little anxious- especially in new environments, so it’d just be best if I find a patient family where I won’t be put in situations that make me real nervous. Take a few minutes to stop in and meet me, you’ll see that I’m not only handsome, but warmhearted, intelligent.I'll have you smiling in no time. 1 year old-43lbs. My adoption fee is $200 and includes; neuter, microchip, reduced cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Malcolm, a Portland Dutch Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dutch Shepherd for sale in Portland, or seeking a Dutch Shepherd dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dutch Shepherd breeders who help with Dutch Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
