My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Louisa: 6 to 8 month old female lilac point Ragdoll kitten

The shelter plan for this kitten was to spay her and cut the tip of her ear off ( "ear tipping" to show she has been spayed ) and re- release onto the street near where she was found. A shelter volunteer told a woman who helps to rescue cats and dogs about her and she contacted me. "Is she friendly ?"I asked? We were worried that she was not socialized and that was why she was to be rereleased. Time for a quick decision. OK ,I said tI will take her in but be sure they DO NOT ear tip her. I can see on her shelter form where it was crossed out. Yikes.

So here she is. A even more beautiful than her nice shelter photo.
This picture was taken as we lifted her out of her carrier wondering how she would act after a car ride and a couple hours wait in her carrier. My brave friend picked her up and she did fine We breathed a sigh of relief. She must have been someone' s treasured pet who got lost .She has been through a hard time so alone in the shelter and perhaps before that n the world but she is going to be fine. Already
she makes biscuits when we pet her. Sometimes she pulls back from us
and growls a little ( "I am a fierce little kitten" ) and then totally relaxes when we touch her.

We have had her only one day ( 11/1/12 ) and don't know her well. We know she has a mellow temperament and seems cat friendly and is a beauty. She is all softness - soft fur and soft colors. She has the long slender body of the young ragdoll and she will grow into an elegant ,gorgeous fairly big cat. Big fluffy tail. Right now she is at 5 pounds 9 ounces, Still a baby. She looks like a ragdoll but of course we know nothing of her heritage.

She eats wet and dry food and, so far, is ltterbox perfect.

The last photo is her shelter picture.( few kitties look as good as she did in their shelter photo's)

Her foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.
