Peanut's Story...
Sweet, sweet Peanut is such a wonderful gal. She is extremely social and affectionate, and will stick to you like glue if you spend a simple second with her. There's nothing she loves more than people once she gets to know you. She will make a fine dog participating in all of the daily activities that family members can offer her. Peanut absolutely loves her walks and does well on-leash. When she first came over she was very timid and nervous. We've been working on socializing her and she's proving to be a very quick learner!.Peanut came to us when her previous owner didn't have enough time to commit to raising a pup. We're confident that this gorgeous gal will be a great exercise partner as she has a lot of energy once she's up and going. We're not yet sure how she is with cats but can test her here at the shelter if you're interested. If you're looking for an intelligent dog that wants nothing but to be with you all day (and who doesn't?), Peanut's the one for you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Peanut, a Ithaca Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Ithaca, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Ithaca.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ithaca already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ithaca breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ithaca paves the way for another one to be saved.
