I am already spayed and up to date with shots.

Lucy's Story...
I've got the whole package - smart, fuzzy, four legs, love to learn and live to please. Go ahead, teach me anything. Sit, stay, balance your checkbook, I can do it all. Keep me entertained and I'll be yours forever. I came to the shelter because my previous owner didn't have enough time for me. My ideal adopters will start me on a regular crate-training routine as soon as I get home. Because of my calm, sweet demeanor, I may be a good candidate for a home with children. With good looks and a wonderful personality to match, I surely won't last very long. Come in and spend some time with me today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a Ithaca Labrador Retriever/Mountain Cur dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Mountain Cur for sale in Ithaca, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Mountain Cur dog from a breeder in Ithaca.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ithaca already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ithaca breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Mountain Cur breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Mountain Cur rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ithaca paves the way for another one to be saved.
