Lily's Story...
IDGSR Welcomes Lily into the safety of the Rescue!

Lily is a beautiful white German Shepherd, approximately 12-14 months old and weighs 68 lbs. She is a very sweet and gentle dog and very affectionate. She is in a foster home with other dogs and cats and gets along well with all. She does well with children too.

Lily, another castoff of society, was found on a rural road where dogs are dropped off regularly. Sad and scared she found her way to a home where the folks tried diligently to find Lily's owners with newspaper ads, online ads, calling all the vets offices and shelters. No one was looking for Lily and she was not microchiped. Thankfully Lily's Guardian Angels cared for her till IDGSR stepped up to help her. Lily is a charmer. This girl gave me at least 20+ kisses on the way home, she is a absolute living doll. Lily's guardian angels had kids, other dogs and cats and Lily got along with all of them. Well when we tested her, she passed all those same tests as well. She is other dog friendly, cat friendly and loves kids. She does need some obedience training, but is easy to handle and knows some basic commands, will crate, and is just a loveable girl. She exudes Joy and Happiness.

If you would love to have your own bundle of love and sweetness, please apply to this rescue to adopt Lily. She is waiting for a wonderful family to share all she has to give.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lily, a Greeneville German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Greeneville, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Greeneville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greeneville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greeneville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greeneville paves the way for another one to be saved.
