Gus - The Cat!'s Story...
Yes, you’re seeing a cat on the Nuts for Mutts web site! When I received a call from a friend that someone had moved out of their apartment and left their cat outside to fend for himself, I just had to do something. Poor Gus was found under a dumpster cold, wet, dirty and hungry. I just couldn’t resist helping this poor guy out. The vet thinks that Gus is about 5 years old and he weighs 11 lbs. He’s not a small cat, just skinny. Gus is a sweetheart. He likes everyone as well as the other dogs, cats and rabbit that he now lives with. He likes to explore and he takes things slow. Gus is neutered, has had all of his shots, and he has been microchipped. Gus is Feline leukemia and FIV negative. Gus is also completely litter trained. Would you like to make the first N4M’s cat part of your family? Don’t wait because this handsome guy won’t last long! Gus' Adoption Donation is $100

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gus - The Cat!, a Rochester Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Rochester, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Rochester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rochester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rochester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rochester paves the way for another one to be saved.
