Rusty's Info...

Rusty's Story...
Rusty, approximately 10 months old, 56 lbs, heart worm negative, happy and friendly, solid muscular build, outgoing, very intelligent boy, it appears he may have been tied up prior to coming to the shelter as he checks out all the exits to the yard looking for an escape, he does like to nibble on your arm but does so gently and not maliciously, he is smart and listens to you and responds to your displeasure, he wiggles with happiness and we think that with the right owner he can become the awesome dog he was meant to be, he just needs a consistent owner who will train him correctly and without punishment, he does not appear to know any basic commands so he is eager and ready to learn all kinds of new and wonderful things, Rusty does not like being with other male dogs unless they are submissive but female dogs are fine

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rusty, a Red Bluff American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Red Bluff, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Red Bluff.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Red Bluff already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Red Bluff breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Red Bluff paves the way for another one to be saved.
