My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mighty is a new arrival at the kennel from a moderate race career. He is 3 years old and white with blue brindle patches. Mighty is laid back an loves attention and affection. his small animal status is unknown at this time.

FOSTER UPDATE:

Mighty was one timid boy when he first went into foster. Everything scared him. He has come a long way, thanks to the efforts of his foster mom and his fur roommates to help him adjust to life in a home. Foster mom says that Mighty is developing into a confident and, sometimes, clownish dog. When meeting new people, he remains quiet and a little shy, but is not afraid. Mighty has been exposed to other large dogs weighing approximately 50 lbs., and got along with them just fine. So far, Mighty has not encountered any small dogs or cats, so we don’t know whether he has a prey drive. However, when he’s seen wildlife outside the fence, he hasn’t become overly excited or aggressive. Despite being timid, Mighty hasn’t shown fear when hearing loud or unusual noises. When his foster mom vacuums, Mighty, much like most greyhounds, moves to another room. He loves his daily walks and doesn’t pull on the leash. Car rides are a favorite for Mighty, but he still needs assistance to get in and out of the SUV. This greyhound is housebroken and accustomed to crating for short periods. He has a good appetite and is fed premium, grain free, Taste of the Wild kibble and canned food. Mighty loves attention and affection. He has a gorgeous bunny fur coat that is very soft to the touch. He knows his name and will generally come when called. Mighty gives kisses with his nose. He has spurts of energy and loves to charge around the yard. This greyhound is a gentle creature, with a touch of puppy, ready to be loved and pampered by an adoring adopter in a home with another dog to help him build confidence and maturity.
