Pistol's Story...
Pistol-Beagle male, 2 years

Pistol is a sweetheart of a boy, just about 2 years old, he was found by Rescue in a high kill shelter in a rural area. Probably not a good hunting dog, he was abandoned. But he's a great dog, will be a wonderful companion and family dog. Pistol is the smaller sized Beagle, weighing in at about 12-15#. He gets along great with other dogs and doesn't seem interested in the cats!
His adoption fee is $250 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pistol, a Germantown Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Germantown, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Germantown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Germantown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Germantown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Germantown paves the way for another one to be saved.
