Muzzy's Story...
I am a male Basenji/Shiba Inu mix. I am about 1 year old. I am neutered, heartworm negative, current on shots, micro-chipped and on flea/heartworm prevention. My adoption is $200.
I was impounded as a stray at Animal Control. I came into animal control with a wound on my muzzle. The vet thinks I cut it badly when trying to eat out of the trash and put my muzzle into a can with a razor sharp edge.

It is required that I go to training classes here at the Petsmart in Altamonte Springs. Classes are one hour, once a week for six weeks. The cost for the classes is only $89

Please email for an application. A New Beginning Pet Rescue, Inc. only accepts cash. We do not have the ability to accept credit or debit cards and no longer accept checks. The pets are available to be seen at our adoption events on weekends at the Petsmart in Altamonte Springs on Saturday from 11-5 and Sunday from 12-5.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Muzzy, a Orlando Basenji/Shiba Inu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basenji/Shiba Inu for sale in Orlando, or seeking a Basenji/Shiba Inu dog from a breeder in Orlando.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Orlando already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Orlando breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basenji/Shiba Inu breeders who help with Basenji/Shiba Inu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Orlando paves the way for another one to be saved.
