Meg's Story...
Young Adult, spayed female, domestic shorthair, Brown Tiger & White. During a week of very heavy rainfall, a gentleman called the shelter to say that a young cat kept trying to get into his home. It was obvious that the cat had recently had a litter of kittens but they were nowhere to be found. This young girl was looking for an easy meal and a warm dry place to stay. PCS picked her up and after going unclaimed she was sent to the Veterinarian. Meg is a very sweet and gentle cat and quite playful. She seems to do well with non-aggressive cats and should do well with children.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Meg, a Medway Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Medway, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Medway.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Medway already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Medway breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Medway paves the way for another one to be saved.
