Chase's Info...

Chase's Story...
Chase is an adorable little boy who was found outside hiding in cars. He was very shy at first but has warmed up to people a lot. He is still nervous around strangers and can be frightened by loud noises, but is very friendly and comfortable around people he knows. He is very playful and affectionate. He enjoys balls with bells in them, string toys, laser toys, and pop-up-cubes. He will even share his super purr with you when snuggling or being pet. He is very bonded with his sister Foxy, so is looking for a home where they can stay together for the rest of their lives.

To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and either come to an adoption event or arrange to meet the cat in its foster home. We do not do same day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chase, a Gaithersburg Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Gaithersburg, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Gaithersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gaithersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gaithersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gaithersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
