Foreman's Story...
George Foreman is known as the 8th greatest heavyweight of all times (plus he sells a great little grill). Cocker Foreman was skin and bones when he first came to The Cocker Inn but he has put on some weight and is now looking great! This big sweet guy is a 4-5 year old black and white male who was spotted on death row at a local shelter. Once our volunteers got him home and shaved off his heavy mats, we found that he was in the fly-weight division, extremely emaciated and we could see every bone in his little body. At his weigh-in physical, he tested heartworm positive but has now completed his treatment and it ready to get the show back on the road. We are absolutely head over heels for this big champion!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Foreman, a Houston Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Houston, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
