Rupert's Story...
Meet Rupert! We recently got a phone all about a pit bull hit by a car, he had a " hole in his leg".. So we packed up our medical supplies, and headed down to find this injured pit bull..
As we pull up in front of the house, we are greeted by a beautiful lab/retriever mix, his tail is wagging, his eyes are bright.. We look around us, scanning the bushes, looking under the porch, we don't see the injured pit bull.. And then the lovely little lab mix begins to limp his way over to us, and sure enough , he has a hole in his leg. Well, the fact that he wasn't a pit-bull never entered our minds, all we knew was that he needed our help. Rupert is still recovering from his wound, and being treated at Village Vets Decatur by their amazing Vets and Vet techs. Rupert is about 7 months old, neutered and receiving his vaccinations.
He is a sweet, loving dog, even when he must have been in such horrible pain. He needs a foster or forever home-let him show you how big his heart is!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rupert, a Dallas Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Dallas, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Dallas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dallas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dallas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dallas paves the way for another one to be saved.
