Luigi's Story...

This puppy will not be shown before our adoption event on Saturday.

On Sept 22nd a good Samaritan while shopping witnessed someone throw an object from a moving vehicle then speed off. This good Samaritan realized it was a dog and raced to rescue what they discovered to be a small puppy. They took this grossly underweight puppy home, examined him to make sure he suffered no injuries, gave him a bath and named him Luigi. The family was unable to continue care of a small puppy and contacted Last Chance Rescue.

Luigi has been with his foster mom since Sept 25th and is being treated for demodex mange.

Luigi is the most affectionate little guy, he adores cuddling in for loving from his foster mom and loves playing with his foster siblings of all ages and sizes. He also does well with cats but does have to be told once in awhile to be gentle when playing with them.

He is neutered/micro-chipped and up to date on all his shots. He will be at Petsmart in Brighton on Saturday for pre-adopts only. The adoption event is from Noon until 4pm.

Luigi is about 6 months old and his adoption fee will be $250 (cash/check only). He will require a fenced in yard and another dog in his new home.

For more information and a pre-adopt form please contact their foster Terri at TLOVEST2001@YAHOO.COM

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Luigi, a Howell American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Howell, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Howell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Howell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Howell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Howell paves the way for another one to be saved.
