Sugi's Story...
Sugi is a one year old Husky mix. She is great with other dogs, cats and kids and loves being part of "the pack". She LOVES to cuddle and LOVES one on one attention. She would do great in any household as long as she gets some play time and is able to run. She does great with small children and takes being layed on, dressed up, whatever completely in stride. As a Husky, it is recommended that she not be left outside too long unchecked. She has been known to get out of the chain link fence at her foster home but has never ran off, usually just going to sit at the front door once she's out. She is fully crate trained, will load into her crate by simply being told "crate", and, as a precaution with all of the Huskies in her foster home, she eats in their crates away from the other dogs. She loves her crate and sleeps in it with the door open when her foster family are all at home. It is not recommended leave her out of her crate while her family is gone. Sugi's foster family calls her their "angel dog" - she just wants love and is submissive to the other dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sugi, a Christiana Siberian Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siberian Husky for sale in Christiana, or seeking a Siberian Husky dog from a breeder in Christiana.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Christiana already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Christiana breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siberian Husky breeders who help with Siberian Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Christiana paves the way for another one to be saved.
