My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello People.
We are Andy and Fergie and we are quite a pair! Yin and yang, introvert and showman. Lots of personality and cuddles to go around! Good friends, we connect very well with people and bond quickly. Our sister (well, our mom's daughter) says we are flexible and resilient. When our mom was very ill, Fergie never left her bedside, even though we all thought of her as daddy's girl. Fergie is a deeply feeling, joyful little girl who quietly makes her presence felt. I, Andy, on the other hand am the first to race to the door, exuberantly sharing my charismatic self with everyone I meet. (One of Mom's caregivers nicknamed me "lover boy" for my loving and charming ways.) Everyone says I am simply bubbling with vitality and smiles. Who can resist my sea otter eyes and standing on my hind legs while my front paws scoop the air begging for a pat? Who can resist?

Both Fergie and I love affection. Tummy rubs and back rubs are the best! I love to bask in the sun on the patio while Fergie prefers the indoors when the sun is too bright! We are both indoor dogs, content to nap and play around the house or in our crates while you are out, and during the night all it takes to get us into bed is to say “Let's go night night! and we go into our crates to sleep. A firm "no bark" will quiet us immediately if we start to bark when a large truck passes the house. If you have Animal Planet on TV, we will run up and be glued to the set. In fact, any time we hear or see an animal on TV, we run up to the television to watch.

Our human sister says: “Andy and Fergie have been well cared for and loved. They have known only the kinder and gentler side of life. They have known comfort, attention and love, and have been very well cared for. They received regular vet check ups and were groomed on a regular schedule. Both are strong, in good health, go for one or two short or long walks per day and eat no people food whatsoever. Both have micro chips, are up to date on rabies, and were spayed and neutered a long time ago. Their dispositions are cheerful and sunny, no matter what. They bark a bit at other dogs and are very interested in hunting when they see a rabbit.....I don't think birds make it onto their radar screens.... “

Andy and Fergie are a bonded pair of soon-to-be- 7 year olds. They must stay together and go to a family who has time to give them attention and love. They bring warmth, cuddles, smiles and laughter into any home they visit and as for entertainment... they add a lot!

Fergie and Andy are affectionate, dedicated, and loyal. They balance each other wonderfully. Robustly yin and yang -What a pair! Smiles and comfort...that's what they bring!!! "
