Mal is a 30(ish) pound 1 year old Basenji mix who came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue’s foster program after turning up as a stray at a local shelter.
This boy is super cute, super happy and very friendly. He was definitely a house dog at some point in his life as he came to us house and crate trained. He also knows sit, shake and stay – heck he will even sit with just a hand gesture and a snap of your fingers!
Mal walks well on a leash and sleep in his crate all night long (with the door open). He is not a chewer or digger and has no bad habits that we have seen. Although he will bark when excited (despite being a Basejni mix
he has a bark)
He is very people friendly and while we haven’t had him around any kids he is so easy going and sweet that we are sure he would be great with them. He loves to be with people and plays great with other dogs. He is an medium energy level so a walk a day and some play in the backyard and lots of affection and he will be happy!
Mal does love to chase birds and seems to have a strong prey drive so no off leash and no cats or other small furry creatures in his new home.

We are a group of volunteers whose mission is to rescue and re-home abandoned, stray and neglected dogs throughout Southern Idaho. We work with many shelters and pounds that often find themselves with no room to spare.
Whenever possible we also assist dogs who, because of extenuating circumstances, are unable to remain in their homes with their owners.
We do not have a facility but depend on the use of foster homes to provide loving temporary homes for the dogs we save. You can meet each pet through it's contact information on it's posting.

2) Meet with potential adoptee and foster parent
3) Home check prior to adoption
4) Complete Adoption Contract
5) Pay fee that covers any vaccinations, spay/neuter and vet care
