WINSLOW's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

WINSLOW's Story...
Winslow is a classic male 2 year old traditionally marked black and white semi rough coated border collie. Alhough he is a bit taller than most males, it appears that he could be a purebred. Winslow came to BCIN as a shelter stray from the Bishop area, so he probably had lots of room to run. Winslow is quite the talker with his woo-woo's and will smile at you upon greeting you. This dog has such a nice temperament and is easy going. He is eager to please and wants to forge a bond with his person. His personality can be characterized as a gentle soul with a big heart. His energy level is medium, however, he will require consistent exercise in his life. Winslow is crate trained and does walk pretty decently on a leash, but will require some obedience work. Winslow attended his first adoption event last Saturday and handled himself well with all of the stimulus an event brings. He gets along with other dogs, and seemed fine around children over 7 that he met. He has not been evaluated on cats. With Winslow's nice looks and temperament, he will not last long in our rescue program.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

WINSLOW, a San Pedro Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in San Pedro, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in San Pedro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Pedro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Pedro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Pedro paves the way for another one to be saved.
