My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lil' Marty was picked up by animal control running down the street with his buddy. We soon found out why...he is a proven escape artist...no chainlink can hold him back. He climbs like a monkey and it doesn't matter how high the chainlink fence is! However, as long as you give him love and have a secure wood fence he is more than happy to stick around. Now that he has experienced love in his foster home he definitely prefers to spend his time indoors with you. We believe Martin didn’t have much human exposure or at least not positive exposure before he came to us and probably was just left outside. He was very shy and didn’t want to make eye contact and would rather hide in his crate than come out and play. Martin is in a foster home and now understands what being a loved family dog is all about and he totally digs it. He loves playing with the other dogs in the house and if they aren't in a playful mood he will entertain himself by throwing toys around. He is also just happy hanging out on the couch or chewing on a bone. He is doing very well on crate training and goes to his crate on his own for naps. After only a few days in the house he is getting the hang of house training and is only going to get better with time and confidence. He has access to a doggy door during the day and does very well. He is still a timid dog in general but this is also slowly fading. He now runs up to his foster with a smile and likes to tap his nose on the back as her leg as she walks through the house to remind her he’s there. If you have a kind and patient heart and want to show this sweet boy what life can really be like in a loving home please contact us. You won’t be disappointed. This boy is going to make a family very a happy if they give him time to show his true colors.

Martin is around 2yrs old and about 12lbs. Updated on shots, spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm tested. The adoption fee is $125.

Email to meet Marty. Arrangements can be made for him to attend weekend adoption events to meet potential adopters.
